About Tektite
Los tectitas son cuerpos de vidrio natural formados por el impacto de meteoritos sobre la superficie terrestre, que fundieron y proyectaron roca terrestre en estado líquido. Se presentan en formas aerodinámicas (esféricas, con forma de botón o de lágrima) y colores que van del negro al verde oscuro o marrón. Las moldavitas (Chequia) son la variedad gema más apreciada. Las tectitas no son minerales en sentido estricto, sino vidrio de impacto sin estructura cristalina.
