About Simpsonite
La simpsonita es un mineral de óxido de aluminio y tantalio extremadamente raro que forma cristales hexagonales incoloros a amarillentos. Es una especie exclusivamente coleccionable, conocida en muy pocas localidades del mundo. Se encuentra en pegmatitas ricas en tantalio, principalmente en Australia occidental y Mozambique. Su nombre honra al geólogo australiano Edward Sidney Simpson. Los cristales bien formados son muy escasos y de gran interés mineralógico.
