About Phenakite

La fenaquita es un nesosilicato de berilio de alta pureza que produce cristales prismáticos o romboédricos incoloros, blancos, amarillos o rosados de extraordinaria transparencia y fuerte lustre adamantino. Su nombre procede del griego «engañador», pues fue confundida históricamente con cuarzo o topacio. Los cristales gema más hermosos provienen de los Urales (Rusia), Brasil y Zimbabwe, y la fenaquita facetada exhibe un brillo excepcional para ser un mineral sin titanio, siendo muy valorada por los coleccionistas de gemas raras.
