About Parisite
La parisite es un carbonato fluorurado de calcio y tierras raras —cerio, lantano y neodimio principalmente— que forma cristales prismáticos de color amarillo miel a pardo con lustre resinoso a adamantino. Se halla en pegmatitas de carbonatita y depósitos aluviales, siendo la mina Muzo en Colombia y el yacimiento de Zagi en Pakistán sus fuentes más destacadas. Su rareza y el interés de los cristales como indicadores de mineralización de tierras raras la convierten en objeto de colección especializada.
