About Dioptase
La dioptasa es un mineral de ciclosilicato de cobre de color esmeralda vívido, apreciado como uno de los minerales verdes de color más intenso de la naturaleza, con matices saturados que rivalizan con los de la mejor esmeralda, aunque su tamaño máximo facetable es de aproximadamente 5 quilates. Se encuentra principalmente en Tsumeb, Namibia, la mina Altyn-Tyube en Kazajistán y el Congo; forma cristales romboedrales brillantes que son algunos de los especímenes de exhibición más queridos en la colección de minerales. Su color es tan puro e intenso que parece casi fluorescente.
