About Chrome-Chalcedony
La calcedonia cromo (o mtorolita) es una variedad de calcedonia teñida naturalmente de un vivo color verde manzana por óxidos de cromo. Es una gema relativamente rara que se extrae principalmente en Zimbabwe y Tanzania. Su color verde brillante y uniforme, similar a la crisoprasa pero de origen diferente, la hace muy atractiva para joyería y objetos ornamentales. A diferencia de la crisoprasa (verde por níquel), la calcedonia cromo debe su color específicamente al cromo. Los cabujones de alta calidad, con color verde intenso y translucidez buena, son especialmente apreciados en el mercado de gemas de colores.
