About Wavellite
A wavellite é um mineral de hidróxido de fosfato de alumínio hidratado famoso pelos seus notáveis agregados cristalinos radiais em forma de roda, que quando cortados transversalmente revelam padrões circulares de verde, amarelo-esverdeado ou branco deslumbrantes. Ocorre em rochas metamórficas de baixo grau e zonas de alteração de fosfatos, com exemplares notáveis provenientes do Arkansas (EUA) e do Brasil. É muito apreciada como mineral ornamental e de colecionador.
