About Unakite
A unakite é uma rocha metamórfica composta por feldspato ortoclase rosa, epidote verde e quartzo incolor, cujo padrão mosqueado de rosa e verde a torna imediatamente reconhecível. Extraída principalmente nos Montes Unakas, nas fronteiras do Tennessee e da Carolina do Norte (EUA), de onde recebeu o nome, é muito usada em cabuchões, contas e objetos decorativos. Apesar de não ser um mineral mas uma rocha, é amplamente utilizada em joalharia alternativa e na lapidação.
