About Tektite
Os tectites são objetos de vidro natural formados pela fusão e rápido arrefecimento de material rochoso terrestre ejetado durante impactos de meteoritos, criando formas aerodinâmicas características como esferas, halteres e lágrimas. Os exemplares mais conhecidos incluem as moldavites verdes da República Checa (altamente valorizadas em joalharia), as australites e as indochinites. Embora sejam tecnicamente rochas de impacto e não minerais, as moldavites são muito procuradas como gemas.
