About Scheelite
A scheelite é um mineral de tungstato de cálcio que apresenta cores amarelas pálidas, alaranjadas, castanhas ou brancas com um lustre adamantino excecionalmente brilhante e forte fluorescência azul-branca sob luz ultravioleta. Embora mole demais para uso quotidiano (dureza Mohs 4,5), os cristais transparentes são lapidados para colecionadores, produzindo pedras de brilho intenso. É também um importante minério de tungsténio e foi nomeada em homenagem ao químico sueco Carl Wilhelm Scheele.
