About Scheelite
Scheelite is a calcium tungstate mineral displaying pale yellow, orange, brown, or white colors with an exceptionally bright adamantine to resinous luster and strong bright blue-white fluorescence under shortwave UV light. It is an important industrial ore of tungsten and is found in contact metamorphic skarns and hydrothermal veins in Austria, China, and North America. Faceted transparent scheelite stones, while relatively soft and brittle, are treasured by collectors for their brilliance.
