About Hemimorphite
A hemimorfite é um silicato de zinco hidratado que ocorre em cristais tabulares incolores a azuis ou em massas fibrosas e crostosas azuis a verde-azuladas. A variedade azul é a mais valorizada em joalharia e é frequentemente confundida com a turquesa ou a larimar. O seu nome refere-se ao hábito hemimórfico (diferentes terminações nos dois extremos do cristal). As principais fontes incluem o México, Namíbia e China. É usada em cabuchões e peças decorativas.
