About Nano-Polycrystalline Diamond
Nano-polycrystalline diamond is a synthetic ultra-hard material consisting of aggregated micro- to nanoscale diamond grains sintered under ultra-high pressure, producing a material harder than single-crystal diamond with exceptional toughness and no cleavage planes. Developed by Japanese researchers in the early 2000s, it is used primarily in industrial cutting and polishing tools and precision optics.
