About Violane
La violane es una variedad de diópsido de color azul-violeta a lila, coloreada por el manganeso. Es una gema poco conocida apreciada principalmente por los coleccionistas de minerales raros. Se extrae en yacimientos de minerales de manganeso en Italia (Piamonte) y algunos otros países europeos. Su tonalidad azul-morada es inusual para el diópsido, que normalmente es verde. Los ejemplares de calidad gema son escasos y muy buscados por los coleccionistas especializados.
