About Sonolite
La sonolita es un mineral de silicato de manganeso del grupo de la humita, de color amarillo anaranjado a rojo parduzco. Los cristales de calidad gema son muy raros, siendo conocida principalmente por los coleccionistas de minerales. Se forma en yacimientos metamórficos ricos en manganeso. Sus principales localidades se encuentran en Japón y Suecia. Su nombre hace referencia a la mina Sono, en la prefectura de Aichi (Japón), donde fue descrita originalmente.
