About Snowflake Obsidian
La obsidiana copo de nieve es una variedad de vidrio volcánico negro que contiene inclusiones de cristobalita blanca con forma de copos de nieve o flores. Este llamativo contraste entre el negro profundo y los patrones blancos la hace muy popular en joyería y artesanía. Los principales yacimientos se encuentran en México, Utah (Estados Unidos) e Islandia. Como toda obsidiana, es relativamente frágil, pero su belleza natural la ha convertido en una piedra muy usada en diseño de joyas.
