About Prase
La prase es una variedad de cuarzo de grano fino, de color verde puerro a verde oscuro opaco, cuyo color se debe a las inclusiones de actinolita o clorita. Ha sido tallada como piedra ornamental desde la Antigüedad en el Mediterráneo y se halla en yacimientos de cuarzo verde en Finlandia, Sajonia (Alemania) y Grecia. Aunque menos célebre que la prasiolita o el aventurina, su profundo color verde la hace apreciada para cabujones y cuentas artesanales.
