About Prase Opal
El ópalo prase, también llamado crisópalo, es una variedad de ópalo común de color verde manzana a verde oliva, cuyo color se debe a inclusiones de níquel o cromo, translúcido a opaco con un lustre ceroso a resinoso. Es especialmente apreciado el material de la mina Haneti en Tanzania y el de Australia Occidental, y se trabaja principalmente en cabujones y cuentas para joyería artesanal. No debe confundirse con la prasiolita o con el cuarzo verde.
