About Poudretteite
La poudretteíta es un ciclosilicato de potasio, sodio, boro y silicio extremadamente raro que puede presentarse en colores incoloros, rosados o rojos, con un lustre vítreo y buena transparencia. Descubierta en la cantera de Poudrette en la Montaña Mont Saint-Hilaire (Quebec, Canadá) en 1965, no fue reconocida como nueva especie mineral hasta 1987. El material de calidad gema es ultra raro, y las pocas gemas facetadas conocidas proceden principalmente de Myanmar, siendo muy apreciadas por los coleccionistas de minerales excepcionales.
