About Pollucite
La polucita es un tectosilicato de cesio y aluminio que forma masas granulares incoloras a blancas con lustre vítreo y es la fuente primaria mundial de cesio, un elemento crítico para las células de combustible y los reloj de cesio más precisos del mundo. Se encuentra en pegmatitas graníticas de Bernic Lake (Manitoba, Canadá) y Bikita (Zimbabwe). Los cristales transparentes son rarísimos y de alto interés para los coleccionistas de minerales de cesio.
