About Pargasite
La pargasita es un anfíbol cálcico de magnesio y aluminio que forma cristales prismáticos de color verde oscuro a negro verdoso, pardo o azul grisáceo con lustre vítreo. Aunque es un mineral metamórfico e ígneo relativamente común, los cristales transparentes de calidad gema son raros y se encuentran en yacimientos de mármol y peridotita de Afganistán, Myanmar y Tanzania. Su color verde oscuro en gemas facetadas es similar al de ciertas variedades de hornblenda y actinolita.
