About Padparadscha

El padparadscha es una de las variedades de zafiro más raras y valoradas del mundo, que exhibe un delicado color melocotón-rosa o salmón evocador de la flor del loto acuático, de la que toma su nombre en cingalés. Procede principalmente de Sri Lanka, aunque Madagascar y Tanzania producen también material de calidad, y su calificación gemológica precisa sigue siendo un tema de debate en la industria, ya que el tono exacto que lo distingue de otros zafiros rosados o naranjas es subjetivo. Un padparadscha fino de varios quilates puede alcanzar precios iguales o superiores a los de un zafiro azul de calidad comparable.
