About Nosean
La nosean (o noseana) es un mineral del grupo de los sodalitos —un tectosilicato de sodio y aluminio que contiene sulfato— que forma cristales cúbicos de color gris, azul grisáceo o pardo con lustre vítreo a submetálico. Se halla en rocas volcánicas fonolíticas y nefeliníticas con bajo contenido en sílice, con notables yacimientos en el Eifel (Alemania) y en las Islas Canarias. Lleva el nombre del mineralogista alemán K. W. Nose y es de interés principalmente para los coleccionistas de tectosilicatos raros.
