About Marialite
La marialita es el extremo rico en sodio del grupo de la escapolita, formando cristales prismáticos tetragonales de color blanco a gris, amarillo pálido o incoloro con lustre vítreo. Se desarrolla en rocas metamórficas y skarn sometidas a fluidos hidrotermales ricos en sodio y cloro, con yacimientos notables en Brasil y Tanzania. El material gema translúcido puede mostrar chatoyance (efecto ojo de gato) al ser tallado en cabujón, lo que lo hace interesante para los coleccionistas.
