About Londonite
La londonita es un raro borato de aluminio, cesio, rubidio y potasio de color incoloro a blanco amarillento con un lustre adamantino y alta birrefringencia. Se encuentra en pegmatitas graníticas ricas en litio de Madagascar y fue descrita como especie mineral nueva en 2002 en honor de David London, experto en pegmatitas graníticas. Los cristales transparentes facetables son extremadamente escasos y poseen gran interés para los coleccionistas de minerales raros.
