About Dravite

La dravita es el miembro terminal de color marrón a amarillo oscuro rico en magnesio del grupo de los turmalinas, nombrada en honor a la región del río Drava en Eslovenia donde fue descrita por primera vez. Aunque es menos popular comercialmente que las coloridas variedades de elbaíta, la dravita fina de color marrón miel oscuro a amarillo parduzco transparente de Austria, Sri Lanka y Tanzania se faceta como una gema de coleccionista cálida y distintiva. La dravita rica en cromo puede producir piedras verdes inusualmente vívidas que se aproximan a la turmalina cromo.
