About Clinohumite
La clinohumita es un nesosilicato de magnesio con flúor que cristaliza en el sistema monoclínico, formando cristales granulares o prismáticos de color amarillo, naranja o marrón rojizo, con brillo vítreo a resinoso. Se encuentra principalmente en mármoles metamórficos y en xenolitos del manto superior. Los ejemplares de Tadjikistán y, recientemente, de Tanzania son de un naranja especialmente vivo y pueden exhibir una interesante florescencia. Los cristales transparentes y bien coloreados de tamaño facetable son muy raros y están entre las gemas más escasas del mercado, siendo muy apreciados por coleccionistas especializados en gemas inusuales.
