About Anatase
La anatasa es una de las tres formas polimórficas del dióxido de titanio (junto con el rutilo y la brookita), que cristaliza en el sistema tetragonal formando cristales bipiramidales o tabulares de gran brillo adamantino. Presenta colores que van del negro azulado al amarillo miel, pasando por el marrón, con una dispersión cromática superior a la del diamante. Aunque extremadamente rara en tamaños gemológicos, los escasos ejemplares transparentes facetados son joyas de coleccionista de extraordinario valor. Los mejores cristales provienen de los Alpes suizos, Brasil y Noruega. Su alto índice de refracción la hace brillante y luminosa.
