About Ametrine
La ametrina es una variedad bicolor del cuarzo que combina en un mismo cristal las tonalidades violetas de la amatista y los amarillos dorados del citrino. Este fenómeno natural excepcional se produce por diferencias de temperatura durante la cristalización del mineral. Los únicos depósitos comercialmente significativos del mundo se encuentran en la mina Anáhí de Bolivia, aunque existen pequeños hallazgos en Brasil e India. La combinación de sus dos colores en un único cristal la convierte en una gema visualmente única y muy atractiva para la joyería contemporánea. Puede tallarse de formas que resalten su bicoloridad o combinen ambos tonos.
