About Adamite
La adamita es un mineral de arsenato de zinc de rara belleza, conocido por sus brillantes colores que van del amarillo al verde limón y, ocasionalmente, al rosa o violeta. Cristaliza en el sistema ortorrómbico, formando grupos de cristales prismáticos transparentes a translúcidos con un brillo vítreo. Se encuentra en zonas de oxidación de depósitos minerales ricos en zinc y arsénico. Su fluorescencia verde brillante bajo luz ultravioleta la hace especialmente atractiva para los coleccionistas de minerales fluorescentes. Fue descrita por primera vez en Chile y lleva el nombre del mineralogista francés Gilbert-Joseph Adam.
