About Vivianite
A vivianite é um mineral de fosfato de ferro hidratado que exibe uma notável evolução de cor — formando-se incolor quando extraído pela primeira vez e tornando-se progressivamente azul-esverdeado, azul profundo ou azul-negro através da oxidação ao ar livre. Ocorre em turfeiras, sedimentos argilosos e zonas de oxidação de minérios fosfatados. Os cristais transparentes de azul intenso são por vezes lapidados para colecionadores, embora a sua sensibilidade à luz exija cuidados especiais.
