About Tremolite
A tremolite é uma anfíbola de silicato de cálcio e magnésio que varia de incolor e branca a verde pálida, sendo a forma mais gemológica a variedade fibrosa utilizada como jade nefrítico (jade branco). A variedade fibrosa de grão fino, denominada nefrite, foi usada durante milénios na China para escultura e joalharia. Ocorre em metamorfitos dolomíticos em todo o mundo, com a nefrite de qualidade proveniente do Canadá, China, Nova Zelândia e Rússia.
