About Sanidine

A sanidina é um feldspato de potássio de alta temperatura que normalmente forma cristais vítreos incolores a creme pálido ou cinzentos, sendo a variedade de feldspato instável a altas temperaturas encontrada em rochas vulcânicas. Embora raramente usada como gema, pode exibir um adularescência prateada a azulada semelhante à da pedra-da-lua, com a qual está intimamente relacionada. A maioria dos exemplares gema provém de depósitos alemães e italianos, e a sua raridade torna-a uma pedra para colecionadores especializados.
