About Pyroxmangite
Piroxmanganita é um mineral de silicato de manganês raro que forma cristais tabulares de cor rosa a vermelha-rosada. O nome combina a estrutura piroxeno com a composição de manganês. Ocorre em formações de ferro com bandas metamorfizadas e em algumas rochas metamórficas de manganês. Visualmente semelhante à rodonite, distingue-se por diferenças cristalográficas e químicas. Os melhores cristais de qualidade gemológica provêm do Japão, Estados Unidos e Suécia. Embora raramente usada em joalharia convencional, amostras transparentes de piroxmanganita são valorizadas por colecionadores de minerais de manganês pela sua cor rosada suave.
