About Mohawkite
Mohawkite é uma rara liga mineral de cobre-arsénio encontrada exclusivamente na região de Keweenaw, no Michigan, EUA. O seu padrão metálico prateado sobre fundo de cobre nativo rosa-avermelhado cria um efeito visual distinto. Nomeada após o rio Mohawk na região onde foi encontrada, ocorre associada a outros minerais de cobre nativos em depósitos de cobre do Lago Superior. Embora não seja uma gema convencional, a mohawkite é talhada em cabuchões e polida para joalharia única. A sua origem geográfica restrita e aspeto metálico invulgar tornam-na uma raridade apreciada por colecionadores.
