About Hypersthene
A hiperstena é um piroxena de silicato de ferro e magnésio que exibe um brilho metálico submetálico característico com reflexos de bronze a cobre, conhecido como "bronzite schiller". Este efeito é causado por inclusões laminares de hematite ou ilmenite. Em cabuchão, a hiperstena pode mostrar um atraente efeito chatoyante ou de aventurina. É encontrada em rochas ígneas básicas e metamórficas. A variedade bronzítica é a mais apreciada em joalharia e coleção.
