About Gedrite
A gedrite é um mineral anfíbola da série ortoanfíbola, rico em alumínio, com cores que variam de cinzento a verde-acastanhado. É encontrada em rochas metamórficas de alto grau, especialmente em granulitos e gnaisses. Embora raramente usada em joalharia, a gedrite é de interesse mineralógico como indicador de condições metamórficas de alta pressão e temperatura. É principalmente uma pedra de estudo científico e de colecionador especializado.
