About Gahnite
A gahnite é um espinélio de zinco que ocorre em cristais octaédricos de cor verde, azul, cinzenta ou preta. As variedades transparentes de cor verde ou azul podem ser facetadas em pedras preciosas atraentes, embora raramente sejam encontradas em tamanho e qualidade adequados para joalharia. Encontrada em pegmatitos e em rochas metamórficas de alto grau, a gahnite é principalmente apreciada por colecionadores de minerais. Os melhores exemplares provêm da Suécia e da Finlândia.
