O olho-de-falcão é uma variedade de quartzo chatoyante de cor azul-acinzentada a azul-esverdeada, criada quando fibras de anfíbola são substituídas por sílica mantendo a estrutura fibrosa. Este processo de pseudomorfismo produz o efeito de seda móvel (chatoyance) que lembra o olho de um falcão. É frequentemente encontrado associado ao olho-de-tigre castanho na África do Sul.
