About Epidote
A epidote é um silicato de cálcio e alumínio que ocorre tipicamente em cristais prismáticos de cor verde-amarelada a verde-escura, conhecida como verde-pistáchio. A sua cor característica é um dos seus atributos mais distintos. Embora seja relativamente difícil de factar devido à clivagem perfeita, os exemplares de qualidade gema são usados em joalharia. O Peru é uma fonte notável de belos cristais de epidote, e a variedade "unakite" é uma rocha ornamental popular.
