A azurmalaquite é uma combinação natural de azurite azul e malaquite verde, criando padrões únicos de tons de azul e verde que variam entre os dois minerais. Esta pedra ornamental rara resulta da transformação parcial da azurite em malaquite sob a acção de agentes de alteração. Os padrões naturais de cada exemplar são completamente únicos, fazendo desta uma das pedras mais individualizadas do mercado gemológico. Muito apreciada em joalharia artística e em objectos decorativos, a azurmalaquite é encontrada principalmente nas zonas de oxidação de depósitos de cobre, com ocorrências notáveis no Congo, Namíbia e Arizona.
