About Pezzottaite

ペッツォッタイトは、セシウム・ベリリウム・リチウム・アルミニウムのケイ酸塩鉱物で、ベリル族と近縁ながら異なる結晶構造を持ち、ラズベリーピンク〜深いマゼンタ赤色の三方晶系結晶をガラス光沢と共に形成します。2002年にマダガスカルのサカヴァラナ鉱山で発見（当初は赤ベリル〈ビクサイト〉と誤認）され、後にイタリアの鉱物学者フェデリコ・ペッツォッタに敬意を表して命名されました。強烈なラズベリー〜クリムゾン色の切り石は世界最稀少の宝石クラスに属し、高額なコレクタープレミアムが付いています。
