About Zektzerite
Zektzerite is an extremely rare lithium sodium zirconium silicate mineral that occurs as pale pink to colorless prismatic crystals with a vitreous luster in alkaline granitic pegmatites. Discovered in 1975 at Oroville in Washington State, USA, and named in honor of mineralogist and amateur geologist John Zektzer, it has also been found in Norway. Transparent crystals have been faceted into tiny collector gems, placing it among the rarest gemstones in existence.
