About Rinkite-(Ce)
Rinkite-(Ce) is a rare cerium-bearing sorosilicate mineral that typically displays pale yellow to orange-brown colors with a vitreous to resinous luster. It forms in alkaline igneous rocks and nepheline syenite pegmatites, with notable occurrences at Narsarsuk in Greenland and in the Kola Peninsula of Russia. Specimens are of primary interest to collectors of rare minerals and REE (rare earth element) bearing species.
