About Chrome-Tremolite
Chrome tremolite is a rare, vivid emerald to bright green variety of tremolite amphibole colored by chromium, found in metamorphic rocks and some serpentinites. Fine transparent green crystals have been faceted as collector gems, primarily from specimens found in Pakistan's Himalayan mountain belts and in Tanzania. Its intense chromium-driven green color is its most distinctive feature, making it a specialist gem prized for its unusual combination of mineral species and vivid color.
