About Charoite
Charoite is a rare, swirling lavender to deep purple silicate mineral found only along the Charo River in the Sakha Republic of Siberia, Russia, which is its sole commercial source in the world. Its complex, fibrous crystal intergrowth produces spectacular swirling patterns in violet, lilac, lavender, and white that make every polished piece unique and instantly recognizable. Discovered in 1978 and named after its river locality, charoite has become one of the most distinctive and beloved collector and jewelry stones.
