About Beryl
Beryl is a beryllium aluminum silicate mineral that includes some of the world's most treasured gemstones: emerald (green), aquamarine (blue), morganite (pink), heliodor (yellow), and goshenite (colorless), unified by their shared hexagonal crystal structure and moderate hardness of 7.5–8. Beryl forms in granitic pegmatites and certain metamorphic environments, with major gem deposits spanning Brazil, Colombia, Madagascar, and Pakistan. Its diversity of colors, excellent transparency, and widespread availability make the beryl family one of the most commercially important gem groups.
