About Selenite
La selenita es una variedad cristalina del yeso (sulfato de calcio dihidratado) conocida por sus grandes cristales transparentes a traslúcidos y su característico brillo vítreo o perlado. La cueva de Naica, en México, alberga algunos de los cristales de selenita más grandes jamás descubiertos, con varios metros de longitud. Su nombre proviene de la diosa griega de la luna, Selene, evocando su suave luminosidad. Es muy usada en decoración y en cristaloterapia.
