About Anatase
Anatase is a rare, high-luster titanium oxide mineral forming bipyramidal crystals in indigo-blue, brown, or pale yellow tones, valued as one of the most brilliantly refractive collector gems. It is a polymorph of rutile and brookite, and occurs mainly as microscopic crystals in metamorphic and hydrothermal deposits in Brazil, Switzerland, and Norway. Its extraordinary adamantine to metallic luster and high dispersion exceed even diamond, making large faceted anatase exceptional prizes.
