About Talc
O talco é o mineral mais mole da escala de Mohs (dureza 1), um hidróxido de silicato de magnésio que forma massas brancas, esverdeadas ou acinzentadas gordurosas e perláceas com uma sensação sabonosa característica. Embora não tenha valor gemológico convencional, é a base da pedra-sabão esculpida e é usado industrialmente em cosméticos, cerâmica e papel. Ocorre globalmente em rochas metamórficas ultramáficas.
